T-Shirts you don't want to see from behind

That just hurts.

Wow, wonder what # you were on his list?

You said you were running with your iPod...is it a nano? If so you should really look into getting the Nike+ stuff that just came out, I just bought it all (including a new 4gb nano) can't wait to get it and begin running daily. Will review the product on my blog once I test it out if you're curious. www.nikeplus.com if you want more info.

Pretty cool you live near the Yahoo offices too!

Hi Ian,

Yeah, I use a nano and wrote about the new nikeplus product on my other blog when it was announced (http://cavitate.net/flashpoint/2006/05/nikepluscom_a_social_network_of_ipodenabled_runner.html). I'd be interested to hear what you thiink, especially the networking part which puts you in touch with other runners keeping track of their successes.

I actually work at Yahoo and don't live near there.

Great name by the way ;)

Very cool, yeah I also wrote a post about it on my blog (http://iancube.vox.com/library/post/nikeipod-running-revolution.html)

Yeah the networking is what seems so interesting to me beyond all the other aspects. It's what no other piece of tech has done yet for the running world, and who better than Nike and Apple to bring it?

You work at Yahoo? No kidding, that's awesome. What do you do?

Heh, feels weird writing comment responses to another Ian.

Yeah, I work in the Corporate Development on Strategy with a particular interst in Social Media which is how I got wind of the Nike/Apple thing. Should be interesting to see how this develops, I already see that iTunes is starting to market workout playlists which has become a genre on its own.

Look forward to reading more about the Nintendo Wii - I'll check your site out.

I apologize for having a run on convo with you in comments, I hate doing that, but I didn't see any other way to get in touch with you, so here goes!

Yeah it is weird, yet refreshing to find another Ian into tech.

I have the same interests with all the social media going on out there now, the whole web 2.0 boom is truley amazing to watch and be a part of as a user/creator.

I actually bought the Nike Original workout mix, 45 minute continuous track, is great to listen to even during work when I want to pump out a good solid hour of work, should work great for running, apparently they designed the music to the shape of a run, so builds up slowly, extra push of tempo 3/4ths the way though, then the cool down.

Ah yes the Wii, glad to have you on board, spread it around the Yahoo offices and send my thank you's to whomever handles your advertising, you guys are paying my bandwidth bills. :)

hmm, i just realized that there's no way to take a conversation off-blog w/out the email address so I've brought it out from behind the curtain.

I see you're using the YPN ads and would really be interested to hear how it's working out for you - drop me a line to the pobox.com address above and it'll forward to my work address.

Consider it done and done.

Reminds me of the I Beta Tested Your Girlfriend T-shirt. Ouch! I've yet to find one that says, "I beta tested your boyfriend," but still.

funny you mention that, i just a chesty girl today wearing a t-shirt that said "beta this"

I always get passed by old guys when I'm riding my bike in the oakland hills. bummer
