Mmmm. Had Swedish pancakes at Marti's this morning and loved it. Great way to start a Sunday.

What was the highlight of this past weekend?
Ween & The Flaming Lips at the Berkeley Greek. I seemed to have misplaced my voice somewhere!
I was at a conference a couple of weeks ago talking with a group of folks in the hallway. One member of the group kept looking at my name tag, then my face, then back at my name tag. After awhile something clicked, he finally shouted out, "I know who you are! You write the Flashpoint blog!"
Although he never left a comment, he was a regular reader and was pleased to finally meet me in person. It was nice to meet him as well.
Walking back from a bar in Roppongi in Tokyo, feeling a little chipper, my wife said to me, "Isn't that Nicholas Cage up ahead of us?"
I shot back, "Nick Cage?? Nahh, no way, that's not Nick Cage!" my voice getting louder as I warm to hearing the sound of my voice, "Nick Cage?? Why would Nick Ca. . . "
He turned around and it was Nicholas Cage. We shook hands and I said, hot, damn, pleased to meet you!
"When a Man Loves a Woman" was the number one hit when I was born. When I turned 21, Kim Wilde's cover of the Supremes song "You Keep me Hanging On" was top of the charts WHICH WAS ALSO ORIGINALLY FROM 1966. OMG!
i sometimes go by "inky" which is what you get when you take out all the letters in between the first and last letters of my first and last name.
